Have you thought about why it makes sense for your business to do video marketing? Using this type of marketing promotes you and your brand in numerous ways. I’ve been using videos as part of my marketing for several years.

Just recently, I collaborated with Mainstream Video Production to create four new videos. Getting back into doing more video marketing prompted me to write this post.

Some Key Reasons to Use Video Marketing

  • Engage better with a mobile audience. The Video Marketing Statistics 2017 Survey reported that over 90% of consumers watch videos on their mobile devices.
  • Increase your Google search ranking. Since Google purchased YouTube, videos have an even bigger impact on search rankings. Make sure all titles, descriptions, and tags are creative, specific to the nature of the video, and highlight the video’s content.
  • Greater likelihood of people purchasing your products and/or services. Videos are one of the best ways to educate consumers about your products and/or services. According to MultiVision Digital, 64% of consumers are more likely to make a purchase after viewing a video.
  • Increase the opening rate percentage in email marketing campaigns. Adding videos to introductory email messages increases open rates by 5.65 and click-through rates by nearly 100%.
  • Reach a wider variety of customers. Just about everyone enjoys watching videos. Being creative with your messaging increases their appeal to all kinds of people.

Here are a Few Ways to Use Video on Social Media

  • On your LinkedIn profile. Using the feature called “Media,” you can include videos in the summary section and/or add them to each position description in the experience section.
  • Add videos to the text posts you publish on LinkedIn, Facebook, and other sites. As you create your content calendar, consider how videos can enhance your posts.
  • Use Facebook Live instead of a text post on Facebook. Often, you can make your points more powerfully through video with a minimum of text. Facebook Live videos are relatively easy to produce, and people like their informality.
