I genuinely believe that revamping a website is a team effort.

Have you ever tried to make a significant revision of your website? If so, how did that go? Did you find that you had all the skills and knowledge you needed to complete the project successfully?

Six months ago, I believed that I could do most of the work needed to update my website. I soon realized I needed to turn to experts if I wanted my website to be professional, polished, and attention-getting.

The experts who helped me transform my website were Heather Gallien, Kastle Waserman, and Shannon Gross.

Enlist a Professional to Review Your Website

The first professional I collaborated with was Heather Gallien of creo marketing, whom I met through SHE Leads Group, a business networking group. I had seen her give a dynamic presentation entitled “Magnetic Messaging for Supercharged Social.”  She struck me as someone who really knew her stuff.

I learned that her agency works with small businesses as well as Fortune 500 companies. She has extensive experience in marketing strategy, branding, messaging, content strategy and creation, website development, email marketing, and social media management.

So, I engaged her services to thoroughly audit my website. Her recommendations were practical, insightful, and made a lot of sense to me.

I did my best to follow her recommendations as I revised the text of my website. However, I finally concluded that my writing lacks the marketing flair typically seen in the best websites.

Transform Your Website Copy

Not long after I realized I needed a professional marketing copywriter, I met Kastle Waserman through the West Metro Chamber of Commerce. I was drawn to her as soon as she introduced herself to the group. After we had a Zoom one-to-one, I asked her if she would take on transforming my website copy, and she did exactly that.

Here’s part of Kastle’s About section in her LinkedIn profile, which truly captures what she did for me. “I help entrepreneurs and businesses attract, inspire and convert browsers to buyers by creating a compelling marketing strategy, engaging copywriting and strong calls to action that use the power of storytelling.”

Ensure Your Website is Well-Designed and Shows Off Your Brand

The next step was to find a web designer who could see ways to make my website sparkle. My business coach highly recommended Shannon Gross of Studio One44, whom I’d already met through the SHE Leads Group.

During our initial consultation, Shannon and I immediately clicked as we brainstormed some ideas for updating my website.

In particular, I appreciated how she tied the colors from my logo into the site. She also found ways to streamline the layout of each page and increase search engine optimization (SEO).

I resonate with her tagline: “We build and maintain powerful websites to power your business.”

Thanks to Heather Gallien, Kastle Waserman, and Shannon Gross, I have the website I dreamed of.
