I believe that every business website needs a periodic refresh and the right partner to help.
If you visit my website these days, you may notice it looks a little different.
Why Website Refreshes Matter
One lesson this process reinforced is something I often tell my LinkedIn clients: your online presence is never “done.” Whether it’s your LinkedIn profile or your website, both are living tools that should reflect where your business is today — not where it was three or five years ago.
Refreshing your website doesn’t mean starting over. Often, it means clarifying your message, simplifying navigation, updating examples, and making it easier for the right people to recognize that you can help them.
Like many small business owners, I’ve learned that a website isn’t something you create once and leave untouched. As your business develops, your services evolve, and your clients’ needs shift, your website needs to grow with you.
In the 13 years since I created Boomers’ Social Media Tutor, I’ve been fortunate to work with several talented website designers, writers, and collaborators. Each one reflected where my business was at that time, and each contributed important pieces to the foundation I continue to build on today. I am truly grateful for their work and the role they played in helping to market my business.
Recently, it became clear that my website needed a refresh. Today, I focus almost exclusively on helping small business owners, job seekers, and professionals (especially those 55+) use LinkedIn more confidently for marketing, networking, and visibility. I wanted the website to better reflect that clarity and make it easier for visitors to quickly understand how I help and what working with me looks like.
That’s when I partnered with Crystal deBoer of Mile High Websites and Business Solutions. Learn more about her and her company by checking out her website.
A Spotlight on Crystal deBoer
Crystal brought exactly what I needed at this stage: a thoughtful, collaborative approach combined with strong technical expertise. She didn’t simply “redesign pages.” She helped me step back and look at the visitor experience — how someone lands on the site, what questions they have, and how easily they can find answers.
Throughout the process, Crystal was patient, organized, and solution-focused. She translated my ideas into practical improvements, streamlined the structure of the site, and ensured that the refreshed version is both easier to navigate and better aligned with my current services. Most importantly, she made what could have felt like an overwhelming project feel manageable and even enjoyable.
Take a Look — and Let Me Know What You Think
If you haven’t visited the site recently, I invite you to take a look around. My goal with this refresh was simple: make it simpler, easier, and more helpful for the professionals and business owners I serve.
And if you’re a small business owner thinking, “Maybe my website or LinkedIn presence needs a refresh too,” you’re not alone — and you don’t have to figure it out by yourself.
Reach out to someone like Crystal and get a game plan going to refresh your site!
