Have you been wondering about the benefits of enabling creator mode on your LinkedIn profile? My favorite features of creator mode are being able to add up to five search terms just below your profile headline and the ability to add a hyperlink to a website.
According to LinkedIn:
“Creator mode is a profile setting that can help you grow your reach and influence on LinkedIn. You can turn on creator mode to get access to additional tools and features that help you create content and grow your audience base on LinkedIn.”
There are many benefits of enabling creator mode, especially for those who regularly share content on LinkedIn. Learn what happens when you turn on Creator mode here.
Benefits of Creator Mode
- You can add up to five hashtag terms which display just below your profile headline. These terms can be similar to the ones you use in your headline. Or they can include other topics you write about on LinkedIn.
- You have the option to include a link to anywhere on the internet. You could have a link to the home page of your website. Or you might choose to have a link to a landing page or some other internet location. The URL you enter displays just below your physical location.
- People who visit your profile will see the exact number of your followers, as that number is displayed next to the number of your connections.
- You can get access to creator analytics, which combine post analytics with audience analytics.
- You have the ability to publish a LinkedIn newsletter, and LinkedIn helps to promote your newsletter. There are some criteria you need to meet to publish a LinkedIn newsletter, which you can learn about here.
How to Enable Creator Mode

- To add a hyperlink to your website or to someplace else on the internet, click on the pencil icon just below your cover photo.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the “Edit intro” screen.
- In the Website section, type in your website (or other internet location). Click on Save.
- Now the URL you just entered will display on your profile just below your location.
