My Journey: From Sales to Social Media Coaching

My career began in sales, where I spent 17 years helping businesses grow and succeed. During that time, I discovered my unique ability to explain complex concepts in a way that just made sense to people. 

Near the end of my sales career when I was 61 years old my boss pointed out, “You’ve got a real knack for helping our clients understand social media.”  He went on to ask me if I had ever thought of helping others in my baby boomer age group to understand social media. 

It was then that I realized my true calling! Within six months, I took the leap and created my business: Boomers’ Social Media Tutor, focusing on tutoring baby boomers (and others!) on LinkedIn and Facebook.

My path to becoming a social media coach has come full circle. When I graduated high school, I intended to follow in my family’s footsteps and become a teacher. However, life took me into the world of sales instead. 

Now, I’m finally fulfilling that teaching dream—only now, I’m educating business owners and job seekers on navigating the ever-changing landscape of social media.

Who I Help

Over the past 11 years, I’ve worked with over a thousand individual clients. While I’ve helped a diverse range of people, I especially enjoy working with women age 55 to 70 who have been in business for at least two to three years. These women have already built something incredible, and my role is to help them amplify their message, connect with the right people, and achieve even greater success through LinkedIn and Facebook.

I am a charter member of the Denver Area B2B Networking Group and serve as president of its RiNo chapter.  In addition, I’m the secretary of the Coast-to-Coast B2B Chapter of the SHE Leads Group and the speaker coordinator for the Preferred Business Network virtual networking group. 

I’m active in the West Metro Chamber of Commerce and am the moderator of its Aging Well Leads Group. I’m a member of the 2022 Class of Leadership Jefferson County.
